Meet BOS Member DaShawn Wallace | Psychotherapist

How long have you been in Ypsi?

I hail from Detroit and grew up in the Historic Boston Edison district. I've only technically "been" in Ypsi since April. However, throughout the years, I have often spent time in Ypsi at EMU and other places around town for a variety of both business and personal activities. I love the "small college town" feel of Ypsi. Everyone is just so friendly and the community is quite quaint.  What brought you here? I am a psychotherapist in private practice. I work in a group counseling group practice in Dearborn and wanted to establish my own practice location. I searched online for potential office locations and jumped at the chance to locate in Ypsilanti. I toured BOS and instantly fell in love with the opportunity to work in such an awesome space.

What are a few of your favorite things? Like so many others, I have too many favorite movies, food dishes, and music to name. However, I think that the most interesting and quirky thing about me is that I have a self-diagnosed condition that I fondly call RASMD (Random Associative Song and Movie Disorder). What is this you ask?... It means that when someone says anything that triggers this, I may just break out into a song or quote a movie line.
