BOS Member Spotlight: Carmo Ribeiro
Updated: Apr 25, 2022
Meet BOS Member Carmo Ribeiro. We asked Carmo about his small business and experience coworking at The Back Office Studio. Here's what he said:
BOS: Tell us about your small business.
CARMO: The Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care service enables seniors to maintain an independent lifestyle in their own homes for as long as possible. Not only we do provide assistance, our trusted caregivers are also a source of connection and companionship, helping seniors continue to enjoy a wide range of activities at home and around the community. We change people’s lives by matching more active seniors with less active seniors. This mutually beneficial and enriching relationship provides both the caregiver and the recipient a way to give and receive. Our organization is made up of caring and compassionate senior caregivers who are committed to bringing love into the lives of seniors with dignity and respect.
BOS: How long have you been a member of The BOS?
CARMO: I have been a member of Back Office Studio since the doors were opened to the community in 2018. I made the decision to join just few days after attending their open house.
BOS: What do you like most about coworking at The BOS?
CARMO: I like the flexibility to come and go as needed. It is an open place that offers the opportunity to connect with others either in the corridor, offices, meetings rooms or floating desks for a coffee/conversation and find common synergy while doing our job. I like the architecture and the overall environment.
BOS: What advice do you have for people starting their own business/venture?
CARMO: Always go back to the basis to confirm what really motivates you in the first place. Confirming your true motivations will help you find alternatives to overcome potential struggles. The most important, it will bring clarity to make adjustments as needed in order to achieve your goals. Re-set you compass if necessary, but never give up.
Excellent advice! Thank you for coworking at The BOS!
