Meet BOS Member Emily Conrady, founder and CEO of Omnia Abroad. We asked Emily about her small business and experience coworking at The Back Office Studio. Check out her interview below.
BOS: Tell us about your small business.
EMILY: Omnia Abroad is a study abroad provider specializing in overseas foreign language programs for university students. Our mission is to use language education to create greater understanding between people, places, and cultures. By creating ties at the citizen level, our programs seek to show what unites the nations of the world and foster a more peaceful society. BOS: How long have you been a member of The BOS? EMILY: I started working at The BOS in September 2021. BOS: What do you like most about coworking at The BOS? EMILY: I really enjoy having access to a proper office where I can focus on work. I feel much better having calls and meetings in one of the phone booths instead of at my dining room table at home. It's also great to have access to all the office equipment I need, like scanners and printers, whenever I need them. BOS: What advice do you have for new entrepreneurs?
EMILY: This might be a little ironic, but don't forget that it's up to you to decide what you do with advice from others. As a new entrepreneur, you're going to have advice coming at you from all directions. Some of it will be helpful, some of it won't make sense, and some of it might be actively unhelpful. Just because someone gives you advice doesn't mean you need to follow it, and you shouldn't feed bad if you decide not to. Trust your instincts and remember that the choice is always yours.
Thank you for coworking at The BOS!
