Meet BOS Member, DaShawn Wallace, owner of DaShawn Wallace Counseling. We asked her a few questions about counseling and entrepreneurship, here’s what she has to say:
BOS: Tell us about your small business.
DASHAWN: DaShawn Wallace Counseling is a private psychotherapy practice focusing on Mental Wealth. In other words, seeing our minds as a treasure chest that stores all of our experiences and emotions and viewing them as valuable. My work with clients revolves around exploring those emotions and experiences, then helping them to modify their behavior response in a way that allows them to move from just surviving life to thriving.
BOS: How long have you been a member of the BOS?
DASHAWN: I originally became a virtual member in April of 2020 and in March of this year, I took a giant step to further my small business by opening an in-person office.
BOS: What do you like most about coworking at the BOS?
DASHAWN: I absolutely love the physical location and the chill atmosphere that the BOS provides. It is not a stuffy office space, but it's wide-open which I find helpful in meeting and working with clients. I also love the variety of all of the business owners that I am still meeting.
BOS: What advice do you have for new entrepreneurs?
DASHAWN: DO IT. Take the leap and work on making your passion a viable business and even if you are a bit hesitant or afraid, FEAR FORWARD!!!
